Epic Group, one of the world’s leading apparel manufacturers, has chosen TRIGeN DC to deliver a world-first in class in the Garment Industry, a high-temperature electric heat pump system for the garment Drying Process for its advanced manufacturing facility in Bhubaneswar, India.
Designed and built entirely in India by TRIGeN DC, an IITM Incubated Deep tech startup, is a global breakthrough – capable of generating pressurized hot water up to 135°C through 100% electrified operation, with zero fossil fuel combustion. As an added benefit, the system delivers Cold water at 16 DegC, the cooling from which is utilised for cooling the laundry operations, where high internal temperatures create challenging working conditions. The supply of cold air improves comfort for associates, even during extreme heatwaves.
The system will be deployed for drying applications within Epic’s manufacturing process – setting a new global benchmark for clean, high-performance thermal energy.
Achieving temperatures beyond 120 Deg C using Electrical heat pumps is a Challenge that only a handful of Technical organisations have been able to Master.
TRIGeN DC was the first Company in India to deploy 120 Deg C steam-generating Heat Pumps 24 months ago, and TRIGeN DC has been consistently delivering Heat Pumps of 120 DegC and is currently manufacturing Heat Pumps delivering Hot water/air/Steam at 145 Deg C.
